‘From a View’ is the debut LP from Melbourne’s Floodlights. This full length album explores themes of identity, personal crossroads and the misuse of power in the modern world. It was recorded over two days in November, 2019 at Head Gap Studios (Preston) by Nao Anzai. The tracks were recorded live, directly onto a 24-track tape machine with minimal overdubs, and sometimes none at all. Anzai took the role of mixing the album, working closely with Shannon over four hot nights in December before sending it off to Mikey Young for the Master.

Backyard is the debut EP from Floodlights. This four track EP explores themes of Australian culture and identity. Introduced by Uncle Bunna Lawrie, a Mirning Elder and Whale Dreamer of the Nullarbor coast, the first track, ‘Nullarbor’ follows a personal journey across the remote South of Australia and the revelations that can be struck from adventure. ‘Small Town Pub’ is a reflection on culture and conflicting ideas of national identity. The title track ‘Backyard’, is a song about the network of support created by different people in your life.
